I was recently looking for a romantic getaway for our anniversary. I came across Raptors Retreat on the website. Although the pictures on the website looked amazing, I was sceptical at first, as you do get places that have the most beautiful pictures on their website and when you get there the place does not look like anything seen in the pictures.  I decided to book a 2 day stay, and when we arrived at the lodge I was pleasantly surprised. The pictures on your website are stunning, but to appreciate the true beauty and luxury of the lodge you need to experience it in person. It is not only the lodge but the whole experience that made this stay memorable. To go on a game drive with Keith was truly a memorable experience, I have not seen anybody as passionate and as dedicated as Keith in a long time. The game drive is filled with information, not only about the animals, but also the trees, birds and the surroundings. Then there is Sharmaine, who prepares breakfast and supper, you might not be a qualified chef, but that does not mean you can’t cook. The food was excellent and as Keith would say “dit is lekker man lekker”. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, or a place where you can unwind and relax, you are sure to find this and more at Raptor retreat, where you go to as strangers and leave as friends. Thanks you for a memorable stay, I will recommend Raptor Retreat to anyone.
