There’s no mistaking who’s the boss

Our Squirrel tented unit is situated in a very private spot that invites you to experience the best the bush has to offer. It is built on a big wooden deck, lit by lanterns and a perfect place of peace and tranquility. Until an earth-moving roar rips the silence to shreds! There’s no mistaking who’s boss. All the little night sounds come to a shuddering halt. People stop moving. Animals stop breathing. A feeling of dread and anticipation floods the air and we all grab torches and shelter. We wait. We listen.

The “huh-huh” often rumbles throughout the night as the lions communicate and conspire. And there you are… smack-bang in the middle of it, safely tucked away behind your canvas screens, whilst enveloped by the sounds, sights and smells of Africa.
